Over 40% of Botswana's land is designated as National Park, making it one of the best places in Africa to experience the great outdoors. Game viewing here is excellent, and very worthwhile, but is quite a different experience to other parts of Africa. Most areas of Botswana are reached by light aircraft, which adds to the thrill of a safari here. |

There are number of main areas worth visiting, including the renowned Okavango Delta, the largest unspoilt river delta in the world. Chobe is home to one of the greatest concentrations of wildlife in the world, while nearby Savute is an extension of Chobe and is home to lion, zebra and other grassland game. |

Botswana is best reached from Heathrow via Johannesburg, as there are no direct flights from the UK. For other departure points airlines such as Emirates offer good connections from around the Uk to Johannesburg. |
