September - See the Migration on the Masai Mara |
September is one of the best times to be on safari in Kenya, when wildlife on the Masai Mara is at its prime. Each year, millions of wildebeest, zebra and other grazers join the resident population of big cats, elephant and other game to form perhaps the greatest concentration of wildlife on the planet. It's worth booking well in advance, though, as space is restricted. Follow with a beach break in Kenya, Zanzibar or elsewhere. |

Safari to the Aberdares and stay at the renowned Treetops Lodge, take in the Great Rift Valley at Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha, and spend two nights on the Masai Mara - a superb short safari itinerary in Kenya. This is one of our most popular short safaris as it offers a wonderful combination of mountain scenery, lake birds and plains dotted with game. |

More and more visitors to East Africa are choosing a 'Flying Safari', which includes internal transfers by air, instead of by road. This option is usually more expensive, but there are many benefits from travelling in this way. Most obviously you can save time travelling between parks and increase time relaxing on holiday and enjoying game drives. |
