| Day 1: Sunday - Depart
Fly from Heathrow on Kenya Airways overnight to Nairobi.
Day 2: Monday - Arusha
On arrival connect with your flight to Kilimanjaro airport,
near Arusha. Transfer to the lodge which offers a haven of
calm and serenity just outside the hustle and bustle of
Arusha. Overnight: Serena Mountain Village. (lunch and dinner included).
Day 3: Tuesday - Lake
Manyara
After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara National Park
(150 km), famous for its tree-climbing lions. Lake Manyara
Serena Safari Lodge stands high on the bluff of a dramatic
ochre and terracotta streaked cliff, and commands
panoramic views across the volcano-studded floor of the
Great Rift Valley. Afternoon game drive. Overnight: Lake
Manyara Serena Lodge. (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).
Day 4: Wednesday - Serengeti
Drive to the world-famous Serengeti National Park
(235 km). Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge, set high on a ridge
commanding panoramic views, draws its inspiration from
the circular ‘rondavel’ dwellings and winding paths of a
traditional Masai village. An afternoon game drive.
Overnight: Serengeti Serena Lodge. (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).
Day 5: Thursday - Serengeti
Take an early morning balloon flight over the Serengeti
and a ‘bubbly’ bush breakfast (optional extra £295) or an
early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the
lodge. Later enjoy an afternoon game drive. Overnight:
Serengeti Serena Lodge. (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).
Day 6: Friday - Ngorongoro Crater
Travel to the Ngorongoro Crater (200 km) via Olduvai
Gorge, and check in to your lodge which is perched on the
jagged rim of the Crater. The afternoon is at leisure.
Overnight: Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).
Day 7: Saturday - Ngorongoro Crater
Drive down into the Crater for a half-day of game
viewing. This extinct volcano plays host to wildebeest,
zebras, buffaloes, gazelles, elephants, rhinos and big cats.
Visit a local Masai village (time permitting). Overnight:
Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).
Day 8: Sunday - Zanzibar
Return to Arusha (200 km) and fly to Zanzibar. On arrival, transfer to your
chosen beach hotel for your required duration. Prices below are based on a six night stay at the Dream of Zanzibar staying on an All Inclusive basis. A full range of other hotels is also available, with other durations possible.
Day 14: Saturday - Return
Transfer back to
the airport
for the return flight to Heathrow, travelling via Nairobi.
