Three rivers which have created spectacular sights and wonderful wildlife experiences. The mighty Zambezi’s
most spectacular feature is the beautiful and awe-inspiring Victoria Falls. The Chobe River front is a remarkable
wildlife area, arguably the best place in Africa to see elephants and spectacular sunsets. Finally, the mysterious
Okavango River with no outlet to the sea, creating a stunning oasis in the Kalahari Desert rich in wildlife.
SUGGESTED ITINERARY
Day 1 Daily Heathrow–Livingstone or Victoria Falls
Overnight flight from Heathrow to Livingstone or
Victoria Falls, via Johannesburg (plane change).
Days 2–3 Livingstone or Victoria Falls
Met on arrival and transferred by road to your hotel in
Livingstone or Victoria Falls (approximately 20 km) your
base for the next two nights. Livingstone is a historic
colonial town famous for its proximity to the Victoria
Falls. A shopping tour in Livingstone offers the
opportunity to experience a local flavour, while guests
can also enjoy a wide range of activities from the
adventurous to the more relaxed such as fishing and
sunset cruises. Victoria Falls town lies off the southern
bank of the mighty Zambezi River at the eastern end of
the Victoria Falls. This tourist town is easy to explore on
foot and also offers a wide range of activities centred
around the falls and river. Both towns offer easy access
to viewing the Victoria Falls. (breakfast included)
Days 4–5 Chobe
After breakfast on day 4, drive to the Botswana border
and complete the border formalities before proceeding
by road to your lodge in the Chobe area for the next
two nights (approximately 70 km) see individual lodge
descriptions for actual locations. Transfer from
Livingstone is by road and boat or by road from
Victoria Falls. (breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Days 6–7 Okavango Delta
After breakfast on day 6, transfer by road to Kasane
Airport and fly by light aircraft (approximately 165 km)
to your camp for the next two nights. (breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Day 8 Maun–Heathrow
Following the morning activity, transfer to the airstrip
and fly by light aircraft to Maun for onward travel
arrangements, or fly to Johannesburg for your overnight
flight to Heathrow. (breakfast included)
Three Rivers Safari offers the chance to visit some of the most prolific
wildlife areas in Zambia and Botswana, taking in three National Parks, a
variety of game viewing activities and the flexibility to see as little or as
much of these areas as you would like. Although the safari is based around
rivers, there are plenty of opportunities for land game drives so you really
will be getting the best of both worlds.
The basic itinerary can be extended at any of the locations to allow further
exploration in areas that most inspire you. The standard or style of
